When Steve Irwin was growing up, his family was passionate about animals. They transferred that passion to their son during years running a small wildlife rescue centre. His wife grew up with that same passion back in the States and helped her husband to continue a family legacy. Today, that once tiny facility is the huge Australia Zoo, made famous by Irwin family antics on screen with crocodiles and in Crikey Magazine.
